Description

The Mercury FourStroke 40hp is a three-cylinder outboard built for fishing, recreational and general-purpose boating. Its 747 cc engine uses electronic fuel injection for dependable starting and smooth everyday operation, while an 18-amp alternator helps keep onboard batteries and electronics charged. The 40hp platform works well for aluminum fishing boats, utility boats and recreational setups where manageable power and straightforward operation are priorities. Available steering, shaft and trim configurations allow the engine to be matched to different boat layouts. It's a practical choice for boat owners looking for mid-range FourStroke power for regular days on the water.
